Hydraulic Repair & Diagnostics

Slow, weak, leaking or dead systems kill productivity. We chase the problem to its source — not just swap the part that's easiest to reach.

Hydraulic problems are sneaky: a slow boom or a weak lift can come from a dozen different places. We diagnose the system, not the symptom, so you don't pay twice for the same fix.

What We Handle

  • Cylinders — reseal, rebuild and replacement; rod and barrel damage
  • Pumps & motors — pressure loss, whining, overheating, full pump replacement
  • Hoses & fittings — blowouts, leaks and on-site hose replacement
  • Valves & controls — sticking, drifting and unresponsive controls
  • System diagnostics — pressure testing to find the real source of weak or slow function

Equipment We Service

Dozers, wheel loaders, excavators, backhoes, skid steers and more. If it runs on hydraulics and earns its keep, we work on it.

Fluid leaks don't fix themselves — they get bigger, messier and more expensive, and in California a leaking machine is an environmental headache too. Catch it early and call.

On-Site Where We Can

A lot of this work — hoses, seals, leak diagnosis — we handle right at your site so the machine never has to leave. We'll tell you up front when something needs to come into the shop.

FAQ

Hydraulic Repair Questions

What hydraulic problems do you fix?

Cylinders — reseal, rebuild and replacement. Pumps and motors with pressure loss or overheating. Blown or leaking hoses and fittings. Sticking or drifting valves and controls. If the system is slow, weak, leaking or dead, we diagnose it and fix it at the source.

What machines do you work on?

Dozers, wheel loaders, excavators, backhoes, skid steers and motor graders. We're dealer-trained with a Caterpillar background and service brands like Caterpillar, John Deere, Case IH, New Holland and Bobcat. If it runs on hydraulics and earns its keep, we work on it.

Can you do hydraulic repair on-site?

A lot of it, yes. Hoses, seals and leak diagnosis we handle right at your yard or job site, anywhere in the Bay Area, so the machine never has to leave. We'll tell you up front when something needs to come into the shop.

What causes hydraulic leaks?

Most leaks come from worn cylinder seals, chafed or aged hoses, loose fittings, or damaged rods and barrels. They don't fix themselves — they get bigger, messier and more expensive, and in California a leaking machine is an environmental problem too. Catch it early.

Should I reseal or replace a cylinder?

It depends on the condition of the rod and barrel. If the metal is sound, a reseal or rebuild is usually the smart call. If there's real damage, replacement makes more sense. We inspect it and tell you straight which way to go, instead of pushing the bigger job.
