Your machine does not move when it is down, and moving it is frequently the most expensive part of the repair. We come to the job site or the yard with dealer-level diagnostics and fix it where it sits.

What We Work On

Earthmoving and construction equipment across the brands you actually run: Caterpillar, John Deere, Case, New Holland, Bobcat, Komatsu and more, with Cummins, Detroit and CAT power underneath.

  • Excavators, from compact machines to full size, including hydraulics, final drives and undercarriage
  • Dozers, including undercarriage, powertrain and implement circuits
  • Wheel loaders and backhoes, hydraulics, transmissions, axles and electrical
  • Skid steers and compact track loaders, which work hardest and get inspected least
  • Motor graders, circle drive and implement work
  • Telehandlers and material handling equipment

What We Actually Fix

  • Engine and powertrain. Diagnosis through to in frame and out of frame rebuilds, with the testing done first so a rebuild only happens when it is genuinely warranted.
  • Hydraulics. Cylinders, pumps, motors, valves, hoses and the system diagnosis that tells a worn pump from a stuck relief valve.
  • Final drives and travel motors. Caught at the seal stage or rebuilt once it has gone further.
  • Undercarriage. Measured as percentages rather than estimated, so you can plan replacement instead of reacting to a failure.
  • Electrical and sensor faults. Circuit testing rather than parts swapping, which is where most of the money gets wasted.
  • Cooling systems. The seasonal failure in this valley, and usually preventable.
  • Preventative maintenance. Standing service in your yard, around your jobs.

Why mobile is cheaper on heavy equipment specifically. A dozer or excavator does not drive itself to a shop. Lowboy both directions is frequently the largest line on a dealer repair, and that cost disappears entirely when the mechanic comes to you. For anything that is not road legal under its own power, this is usually the biggest single saving available.

How a Call Goes

  1. You tell us what it is doing. Make and model, any codes on the dash, what changed and when, and exactly where the machine sits.
  2. We arrive with tools, not guesses. Dealer-level diagnostic software, pressure and flow test equipment, and the common parts for what you described.
  3. We diagnose with instruments. Readings, live data, freeze frame. A diagnosis without numbers behind it is a guess, and guesses on heavy equipment are expensive.
  4. You get a straight answer and a number before anything is ordered or opened.
  5. We fix it where it sits wherever the job and conditions allow, and tell you honestly when it needs a controlled setting instead.

Dealer-Trained Without the Dealer Queue

We came from the dealership side, years at one of the most well known Caterpillar dealers in the region. That is where the diagnostic standard and the tooling knowledge came from. What we left behind was the overhead and the two week wait.

The practical difference shows up in the diagnosis. A fault code names a circuit, not a component, and the gap between those two is where most owners lose money. We have put gauges on machines quoted for full pump replacement and found a stuck relief valve.

FAQ

Heavy Equipment Repair Questions

What heavy equipment do you repair?

Excavators, dozers, wheel loaders, backhoes, skid steers, compact track loaders, motor graders and telehandlers, across Caterpillar, John Deere, Case, New Holland, Bobcat, Komatsu and more. If it runs on diesel and earns its keep, call and describe it.

Do you repair equipment on site or does it have to come to a shop?

On site wherever the job allows, which is most of the time. Diagnostics, hydraulics, electrical, cooling, field repairs and preventative maintenance all happen where the machine sits. Work needing overhead lifting or machine work goes to a controlled setting, and we tell you which one you have before starting.

How much does heavy equipment repair cost?

It depends entirely on what is wrong, which is why the diagnosis comes first and the number comes before the work. What we will say is that the right comparison is the total cost of the repair event, including transport and downtime, not the hourly rate on its own.

Can you diagnose a machine before I buy it?

Yes. Pre-purchase inspections are a regular part of what we do, with pressure testing, diagnostic scans, oil sampling and measured undercarriage wear rather than a walk-around. It is a lot cheaper than finding out afterwards.

How quickly can you get to a machine down?

It varies by day and location, but we are based in Tracy, so San Joaquin County is a short run and the Tri-Valley is one pass away. Call and we will give you a real time rather than a placeholder.

Do you work on both equipment and on-highway trucks?

Both. Heavy equipment and Class 8 diesel, including Peterbilt, Kenworth and Hino, plus CARB Clean Truck Check testing and repair. Many of our customers run a mix.
